a small item of future history

I just found a note I wrote many moons ago when I was researching the history of the Successor States setting, the background fluff for BattleTech.

Here's what it says:

2305-2309 War between the Sian Supremacy and the Capellan Hegemony.

2449-3049 The BattleMech Era

It's the second item that floored me a few moments ago. That's exactly six centuries of giant robot slugfests. Hot damn!
